Tatyana’s birth experience as a first time mom who fired her first provider, who was terrified to get to the hospital too early, who asked for the epidural and had her baby unmedicated.
My name is Tatyana! I’m 33 years old and live in Charlotte, NC with my husband Matt and our little best friend Sylvie who is 15 months! I own a small business called Good Earth Essentials which is a sustainable shop and bulk refill bar. When I’m not running the shop, I’m exploring with my little family, from food and events around the city to going for walks or traveling and showing Sylvie all the good things!
When I got pregnant the thought of giving birth unmedicated was scary and exciting all at the same time. I knew that I wanted to educate myself and my husband as best I could to ensure that my wishes for an unmedicated and empowering birth were mine to make and that I was able to speak up for myself, and my daughter. I’m so grateful for the Unmedicated Academy and the birth that I had where I advocated for myself, my body, my birth, and my family!
