Download your template & tune in as I walk through the exact template I created for my third unmedicated hospital birth. We will cover best practice tips for writing a birth plan and a look at how I organize mine with advocacy advice along the way.
The basics for writing a birth plan:
Keep it short and to the point, 1 page minimum & easy to read (why my template is the way it is)
Focus on what you want, instead of a bunch of NOs
Remove anything unnecessary- like what your location’s routine
Organize by stages of labor: first stage/laboring, second stage/birth/pushing, third stage/immediate postpartum, newborn
My last client said…
I tried to use {insert well known birth educator}’s visual template but it just didn’t have the options that I wanted.
Spoiler alert: I am not your typical childbirth educator. The unmedicated hospital birth is in a league of its own and THAT is who this birth plan template is for.
